Used auto parts are all over the country. If you are looking for a particular TV, you can go to any box store in town, and they all have them at about the same price. If you are looking for used parts for your car, truck or SUV, they may be best purchased online.

Tips for online buying:
First of all, try to find out what you can about the seller. This is not always an easy task. If you are buying from an online service like this site or Junk Yard Dog®, send an e-mail to the site administrator if you question their credibility. Furthermore the best way to pay is by credit card. If you have a problem, the credit card company can be your best advocate. Never pay anyone through Western Union or wire transfer unless you really know who is on the receiving end.
There are some websites where people report bad companies, like ripoffreport.com, but I don't trust them. Too many companies go in and trash their competitors pretending to be customers.
Just use common sense and if the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't a wise buy.
